Deferred Compensation

In 2011, employees are allowed to defer up to $16,500, into a tax-sheltered account.

Employees age 50 and over may defer up to $22,000 per year.

Employees who are within three years of retirement eligibility may defer up to $33,000 per year for a maximum of three years prior to retirement. www.nationwidefinancial.com
Tuition Reimbursement
The City may reimburse up to 80% of the tuition, books & fees (with a maximum of $500 per semester, three semesters per year) for any employee who satisfactorily completes an independent course of study that will increase their productivity or value.
Longevity Pay
All full-time employees can earn longevity pay at a rate of $60.00 per year for each full year of service.
FMLA Leave
The Family and Medical Leave Act entitles employees to up to 12 weeks of leave within a 12-month period, provided the employee has been employed by the City for at least 12 months and has worked at least 1250 hours prior to commencement of the FMLA leave.
FMLA leave can be granted for one or more of these reasons:

Serious health condition of the employee that makes him/her unable to perform the essential functions of his/her job

Birth or placement of a child

Necessary care of a spouse, child or parent with a serious health condition
Voluntary Vision Plan
Employees can receive Vision Services every 12 months for an Eye Exam at a Co-payment of $10 at a network provider. Materials Co-payment is $10 (up to a $125 allowance) for frames & lenses or contact lenses but not both in the same 12 month period.
