It is the primary responsibility of the Public Information Officer to ensure the appropriate release of information to the news media in accordance with the law and departmental regulations. The office also serves to assist at the scene of any major incident to handle media activities on site. The office is staffed by Assistant Chief A.H. Corbett and Vance Mitchell, whose hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
