The Identification/Crime Scene Investigations Division functions within the Support Services Bureau and is under the authority of Assistant Chief M. P. Jackson, while Lieutenant R. Styron and Sergeant M. Welch directly supervises three civilian clerks and eight officers assigned to the division.

The Identification/Crime Scene Investigations Division is responsible for crime scene processing, maintenance of arrest records, latent fingerprint examinations, operation of the photography lab and property/evidence management.

The division is also responsible for the latent Live Scan Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) operation.
