On March 5, 1977 at about 2:57 a.m., Officers were dispatched to 3101 Spencer in reference to a disturbance in the parking lot area behind apartment #171. Upon Officers arriving minutes after the call, the victim was found deceased lying on her back in the parking space for apartment #185. The victim had succumbed to a single stab wound in her upper back near the spinal column.

The reportee who phoned in the disturbance may have observed the unknown suspect just prior to the murder. The suspect was described as being a white male, 20 - 30 years old, about 6’ tall, 170 lbs., large build, dark shoulder length hair, and was wearing a dark leather coat.
