Born and raised in Pasadena, TX.  I attended South Shaver Elementary, Queens Intermediate, and I am a 1972 graduate of Pasadena High School.  My parents, who were also graduates of Pasadena High School, began a business “Bass & Meineke Auto Parts” in Pasadena 1956.  The business grew through the 1980’s to over 30 stores and employed over 300 people in Pasadena.  My family still has one location on Pasadena Blvd.  I have lived in my district over 35 years, and have been married 37 years to my wife Fran Bass; we have 3 children who are also all graduates of P.I.S.D.  Fran and I have been members of Sagemont Church since 1987.  I stay very involved in our community and believe in giving back to help others become successful.  My civic commitments include:  Rotary Club of Pasadena, Texas, Board of Directors and former Chairman of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce, former Board of Directors Second Century Corporation, and City Councilman of District G, Board Member of HGAC.  Volunteerism includes: the P.I.S.D.  Automotive Shadowing Program, San Jacinto College Automotive Program, Pasadena High School Mentor Program, former Harris County District Court Grand Juror, and service through various church ministries.  Awards: Rotary Club Paul Harris Award, P.I.S.D. 2014-2015 Outstanding Business of the Year recognition, Business of the Year 2013.  I love to sing, play guitar, ukulele and garden.  I love this city and I want to see it continue to grow and prosper, providing a better quality of life for generations to come.
