The Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report (CAFR) is the city’s definitive accounting of its financial
condition, provided each year as required by city charter and applicable
statutes. The CAFR follows generally accepted accounting principals and is
independently audited by licensed certified public accounting firm Belt Harris & Associates LLP, to provide reasonable assurance financial statements and
other representations are free of material misstatement.
The current CAFR, for the fiscal year
ending September 30, 2009, represents the sixth year this important financial
document has been made available in electronic format on-line at the city’s
website. It is hoped this improved method of delivery will enable broader and
timelier distribution, and a document more easily researched by interested
parties, even as it saves taxpayers significant dollars in printing and mailing
costs.
The CAFR is in Adobe Acrobat format,
and may easily be keyword searched. if you do not wish to use the page thumbnail
panel to the left of the main window, go to View/Navigation Tabs in the Acrobat
Reader menu and make sure Pages is not checked.
