Citizen Police Academy: Session starting soon

The Adult Citizen Police Academy is a course designed to give citizens a better understanding of the Pasadena Police Department. Classes will be held once a week (Tuesday evenings) from 7-10 p.m. at the Pasadena Police Department’s Community Room (1201 Davis Street). Each week a different area of the Police Department is covered. This course of study will cover topics such as juvenile investigations, telecommunications, DWI, police pursuits, SWAT, criminal investigations, crime lab and crime scene investigations. Classes will consist of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice.

The course will help participants understand the how and why of Pasadena Police Department duties and how participants and police can work together towards better community service and safety.
