USDA meat recall affects some Kroger Hot Pockets products

A California meat processor is recalling more than 8.7 million pounds of meat and meat products that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has found to be unfit for human consumption. While most of the meat went to other states, some undetermined amount that was used in Hot Pockets convenience foods were sold in Texas in Kroger grocery outlets.

This is a Class I recall, which the USDA classifies as a recall of products that pose a " health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
