Texans along the Gulf Coast understand the importance of being prepared for hurricane season and the wild weather that can accompany it. Pasadena's Emergency Management team is joined by the Southeast Regional LEPC in sponsoring this year's free workshop on the subject on Saturday, May 24 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
In addition to Channel 13 Chief Meteorologist Tim Heller's forecast and presentation on the subject, the workshop will also cover a number of other topics that impact your family's safety.
Swimming pool safety, child internet use safety, fire and chemical release precautions, crime prevention and more are covered. Just about every aspect of prudent personal preparation is touched on at this event.
Besides the great information, there are door prizes, fire and emergency equipment displays and free hot dogs and soft drinks while supplies last. You'll have the opportunity to learn more at the many safety related booths staffed by vendors, industry partners and government emergency responder agencies.
