Entries now being accepted for Holiday Lighted Parade, coming up on Dec. 3

Together with the Strawberry Festival, the City of Pasadena will host its annual Holiday Lighted Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3 beginning at 7 p.m. The parade will begin at the intersection of Fairmont Pkwy. and Pansy St., then will travel along Fairmont to Watters, make a U-turn and go back to Pansy.

Parade entries are still being accepted. There is no fee to enter. Entry forms are available online at Awards will be given out in eight categories, including best overall, best lighted entry, most holiday spirit and most unique.

There will be road closures in the area on the day of the parade. Pansy St. will be closed from Keith to Fairmont 3-9 p.m. on Saturday. In addition, Fairmont Pkwy. will be closed on Saturday, from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Holiday Lighted Parade has been an annual tradition in Pasadena since 2007 and has grown steadily to become one of the city’s most popular Christmas traditions. Last year’s parade included more than 70 entries and drew thousands of spectators.
