4th of July reminder: fireworks are illegal
Jun 30 2016 - 05:37:00 pm
With the July 4th holiday coming up, the Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office would like to remind everyone that the sale, use, display, manufacture, and possession of any type of fireworks within the city of Pasadena is illegal.
The use of fireworks poses a risk of fire, property damage, and serious personal injury.

The Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office will have extra officers on the streets during peak hours to enforce the city ordinance. Residents are encouraged to report violations observed, and anyone found in violation of the fireworks ordinance will be issued a citation.

The Pasadena Fire Marshal's Office asks for cooperation and adherence to the fireworks ordinance in order to make this 4th of July safe and enjoyable for all.

The City of Pasadena will be hosting a 20-minute fireworks display at the Pasadena Convention Center as part of 4th Fest. The fireworks show is scheduled to start at approximately 9:15 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to attend this show and leave the handling of fireworks to the trained professionals in lieu of the inherent risk of private use.
