Jun 06 2016 - 04:19:00 pm
Qualified senior citizens and people with disabilities who live in Pasadena can get up to $75 per month to pay for transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands and social activities through the City's RIDES program.

The RIDES program is offered to residents who are unable to drive themselves due to physical or medical reasons, or who do not own a vehicle. Participants in the program must also meet income restrictions.

Anyone interested in becoming a RIDES participant must submit an application, which is available online or at Pasadena’s Madison Jobe Senior Center (1700 E. Thomas).

Applicants must also submit:
  • Proof of household income
  • A copy of their current Social Security Award Letter
  • Last month’s bank statement
  • A copy of a valid driver’s license or ID card with picture
  • A completed physician's disability statement (if applicant has a disability and is under the age of 65)

For more information, contact RIDES Coordinator Jesus Sanchez at (713) 477-0175.
