It's the 80s all over again at Movie in the Park
Jul 22 2015 - 04:34:00 pm
July is national Parks & Recreation Month, and because the month-long celebration has been a tradition since 1985, the City’s Parks and Recreation Dept. will celebrate with an 80s-themed Movie in the Park!

Come enjoy some entertainment under the stars with your family on Friday, July 24 at Burke Crenshaw Park (4950 Burke Rd). There will be a showing of the 1986 animated movie, "An American Tail" at dusk, or approximately 8:15 p.m.

Prior to the movie, there will also be an 80s-themed costume contest, dance-off and trivia contest. The schedule for the event is as follows:

6:30 p.m. Costume Contest
7:00 p.m. Dance-Off
7:20 p.m. Trivia Contest
8:15 p.m. Movie: An American Tail

This event is open to everyone in the community, and people are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, bean bags and pillows. Admission is free, and hot dogs and other concession items will be sold for $1.
