back in school Tuesday, August 24, the Pasadena Police
Department wants to remind drivers to remember to slow down in school
zones. Drivers may want to pay
particularly close attention in certain areas, as the Pasadena City
Council amended some school zone times and speed limits last year.
On Labor Day weekend, athletes will come together at the Pasadena Convention Center for the annual Texas Shootout Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, hosted by the Verne Cox Multipurpose Recreation Center.
The City has broken ground on a new universal playground that will be located at the Verne Cox Multipurpose Center. The universal playground, also called a barrier-free playground, is one that can be used by children without special needs but has been primarily designed for kids with disabilities.
